Field Capacity is the amount of soil moisture or water content held in the soil after excess water has drained away and the rate of downward movement has decreased.

When water from macro-pores drains, the micro-pores are filled with water depending on their structure and texture. The upper limit of water storage is called “field capacity” (FC).

geoBHUMI accurately calculates the field capacity of farming plot and shows in a simple pictorial representation.Knowing the field capacity will help the farmer to determine the Cycle & duration of irrigation.
